If Tim Lewis (middle) looks a little nervous, it's because this photo was taken just before his maiden flight on 18 Dec.'99!

Steve Rothert FINALLY proved that these birds actually fly!! 16kb jpg
Here's what he has to say about his Long-EZ, N49SR. First flight was May 1997. Power - 160 HP 0-320 Lycoming. Top Speed - Faster than I ever expected! Range - More than 'bladder range'! Max Altitude - Definitely need supplemental oxygen. Flight Characteristics - Has flown "hands off" since first flight...an EZ plane to fly! Ground Handling - Castoring nose gear makes it easy to control in cross winds.

Tom Evans keeps his nice looking Genesis, N18TE, at Winchester, VA. 13k
It was an uphill struggle, but '8TE finally took us both into the aether... if you build another one, Tom, I promise that you'll get faster turn-around!

41kb gif George Smith's Lancair 320 took him about 4000 hrs to get to this point. It has an IO-320 Lycoming engine.

Ray Comley's recently painted Lancair 320. It's got heart...IO-360cu.in. of it!

This pretty Pulsar is the latest work from Dale Ross

The Kitfox above and the 303 Fisher below are two other projects completed by Dale Ross.

George Smith completed this Rotorway Exec a few years back. 57kb gif

41kb gif This pretty little biplane, 6188X was originally constructed by George Hoffman.
Charlie Becker and Greg Masck bought this Fisher FP-404 and installed a Rotax 503 engine.   The 1st flight was December 14, 1997.

This is Paul Sponseller's Glasair 1RG – N35PS
First flight 30 Sep 92
290 Hrs. as of 11/98
O-320-D1A
Cruise: 75% / 8500ft-200 KNOTS!
47kb jpg
43kb jpg Equipped with:
  • Bendix/King KLN-90 GPS
  • Narco NS-800 RNAV
  • EDO-AIRE MITCHELL HSI
  • Collins TDR-950 Transponder
  • Aero Mechanism altitude encoder
  • Alcor Fuel Monitoring System
  • Nav-Aid Autopilot
  • PM 1000 Intercom
N35PS FEATURES:
  • Dual sliding canopies: No canopy lock required in flight. Cannot open inadvertently!
  • Annular cooling air intake with turbine blades for ground cooling: CHT and Oil Temp have never been above the mid-point of green arc. Even on the hottest days!
  • Extended Ram Air Carburetor air intake: Just like supercharging. Gives an extra 6 knots when ‘Ram’ is selected.
  • Retractable Landing Light:  Extends when Nav Lights are on and Gear extended. Retracts when either gear is retracted or Nav Lights are turned off.
  • Electric ‘positive centering’ three axis trim: The aileron trim is my greatest invention! The most simple, foolproof, best working aileron trim on any Glasair! The positive centering elevator trim gives positive response to trim changes, but center detent cannot be detected on stick feel. The hard center on rudder trim reduced the ‘Dutch Roll’ induced by turbulence by more than half.
